What people tell me gets in the way
- Switches and dials in awkward places, and a thermostat nobody can read.
- Getting up to check the front door, or to turn a light off at the other end of the house.
- Six apps, none of which do what the box promised.
- Family who want to help from a distance without taking over the running of the house.
What is included
- A survey of the whole home, room by room, with you there.
- Voice, phone or one-button control — whichever you actually prefer.
- Lights, heating, door, blinds and television on one plan, not five apps.
- A printed plain-English guide, plus one written for whoever helps you.
- Four weeks of adjustment after everything is in, then a handover you keep.
Which stages this route uses
- DoneSurveyTwo hours in the property.
- DoneMapWhat you own, on one page.

- In progressCompleteHandover pack and guide.
What it costs
[price — owner to confirm]
Priced per home, because no two homes need the same things. The first call is free and costs you nothing if the answer is that you do not need me.
Book a callQuestions people ask
Do I have to talk to it?
No. Voice is one option and plenty of people never use it. A single large button by the door does the same job, and so does a phone if you would rather.
Will my family be able to see what I am doing?
Only if you decide they should, and only what you choose. Nothing is shared by default, and you can change it whenever you like.
I am arranging this for a parent. Can I be involved?
Yes, and it works best when the person living there is in the room too. The plan is written for them, and there is a second copy written for whoever helps.
What if I change my mind about something?
The Tune stage is four weeks of exactly that. Things get moved, timings change, and anything that annoys you gets undone.
Tell me what you want help with
Nothing here asks about your health, your age or any condition. It asks what you want the home to do. If there is something specific I need to know, you write it later, inside your own project, and you can delete it whenever you like.
Filling this in for someone else? That is normal — most enquiries on this page come from a son or daughter. Say so when you write, put your own details in, and we will bring the other person in when they are ready.
